Serving students, parents, tutors, schools, partners, and the Bay Area community.
Tutors Bay Area Tutoring Association, we take great pride in our tutors. They are the foundation of the Association and our greatest asset. When potential tutors come to us, we work with them to ensure that they have the content knowledge, communication skills, and integrity needed to work as private tutors. We see our tutors as academic coaches because they care deeply about people, they have high personal standards and ambitions, they are perceptive, intuitive, and curious, they are not afraid to try new things and they have a great desire to help. We offer three levels of Tutor Certification so that our tutors can improve in the craft and become true experts in their respective areas of expertise and beyond. We validate general academic ability and offer additional subject matter competencies to ensure student results, parent and program satisfaction. We conduct Livescan background checks and secure TB test results for on-campus opportunities. We engage our tutors with real-life tutoring experiences to give back to the community, master new techniques and methods.
