Bay Area Tutoring Association offers County Offices of Education (COEs), local school districts (LEA’s) and their schools pupil achievement programs and services to ensure they meet the 8 state priorities and locally defined priorities for their Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). We utilize innovative and tenured teachers along with our trained tutor staff to develop and implement academically engaging, culturally relevant and mindful student support programs for the following populations:

  • English Language (EL) Learners
  • Categorical eligible students that receive free or reduced meals and foster youth
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Students

Subjects and areas of emphasis include EL reclassification, early literacy, Common Core math, high school A – G requirements, science (NGSS) and computer science.

Bay Area Tutoring Association LCAP programs are evidence-based and are scoped to meet specific needs of targeted subgroups commonly identified through school district or school site data. What is the LCAP?

School districts (LEAs), County Offices of Education, (COEs), and charter schools are required to develop, adopt and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The template for the LCAP was adopted by the California State Board of Education (SBE) to serve as a framework for the plan implementation. The LCAP is required to identify goals and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators. The LCAP is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).

The LCFF is the new K–12 finance system for the state of California. Under the LCFF all Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare an LCAP. The LCAP describes how a school district intends to meet annual goals for all pupils, based on community input and other metrics, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified pursuant to EC Section 52060(d).
