October’s Tutor Highlight: Ria K.

This month, we’re excited to introduce Ria K., a junior at Los Altos High School who brings a unique perspective to tutoring. Ria has a deep interest in neuroscience and psychology, and when she’s not studying, she’s busy with competitive swimming and playing the violin.

Ria’s journey with math hasn’t always been easy—she struggled with the subject in the past. However, through tutoring, she saw a big improvement in her understanding, and that experience inspired her to give back. “I’ve seen how much tutoring helped me… inspired by my own experience I want to help others…” she shares. Ria is especially passionate about helping students tackle tricky math and English concepts that can seem counterintuitive at first.

Having been with BATA for almost a year, Ria is eager to continue sharing her knowledge and supporting students as they work through challenges, just as she once did. We’re so glad to have Ria on the team and look forward to seeing the positive impact she’ll continue to make!
