Learn how to create your own website! In this class, students will learn the creative process behind creating a website. Students will learn the basics of HTML and CS, as well as coding concepts such as variables and conditional statements. By the end of the class, create their own website on Code.org.

What it will cover: Students will be introduced to the design process of creating an app, event based programming using HTML and CS, and coding concepts such as variables. By the end of the class, students will be able to create their own website on Code.Org using their Web Lab.

By the end of the program, the students should:

  • Be familiar with CSS and HTML vocab
  • Understand the design process for creating a website
  • Goal: Create a Website

Requirements: Excellent reading skills, you will need to read a lot in this class. Excellent math skills. Previous coding experience not required. Classes will be taught on the desktop version of the website, so it’s recommended you also be using a desktop/laptop
