Learn how to code in Python! In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of Python. Students will have a good understanding of Python syntax, data structures and basic computing algorithms statements. In each class, students will code their own project in Python.

What it will cover: Students will be introduced to the basics of Python, including variable, handling user input, conditional statements, and loops. In each class, students will code their own project in Python.

By the end of the program, the students should:

  • Have a good understanding of Python syntax, data structures and basic computing algorithms
  • The ability to decompose a computing problem into its constituent parts
  • The ability to assemble the partial solutions above into the overall solution to the computing problem

Time: Saturdays from 10:00am – 11:30am from January 9th – February 6th via ZOOM.

Requirements: Excellent reading skills, you will need to read a lot in this class. Excellent math skills. Previous coding experience not required. Class will be taught on the desktop version of the website, so it’s recommended you also be using a desktop/laptop
