This February, we’re excited to spotlight Amit, a dedicated tutor with the Bay Area Tutoring Association (BATA), who embodies the spirit of giving back and sharing knowledge.
Amit has called the Bay Area his home for the past 19 years, where he enjoys life with his wife, daughter, and their adorable dog, Spark. His love for the outdoors is evident in his fondness for hikes and walks, a perfect match for the scenic beauty the Bay Area has to offer. Amit is also a football enthusiast and enjoys exploring the mysteries of outer space, indicating his wide range of interests.
Professionally, Amit stands out as a founder and principal of a boutique firm specializing in helping startups enhance their sales performance. With an impressive 28-year career span, Amit’s professional journey has been diverse and impactful. He has held senior management positions in Sales at both large and small software companies, including SAP, Coupa, and Qubole. His expertise also extends to management consulting, where he made significant contributions at McKinsey. Before embarking on his business and consulting adventures, Amit honed his technical skills as an engineer at the United States Gypsum Company and Aspen Technology.
Amit’s academic credentials are as impressive as his professional achievements. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. This solid educational foundation has undoubtedly played a crucial role in his professional success and his ability to mentor and teach effectively.
